Ceremonies
The day a slab is laid
On the day of the ceremony the section of the walk is closed off: a red carpet is rolled out along the slabs, a press wall with a portrait and name, speakers and barrier posts are set up. The guest (or relatives, if the star is unveiled posthumously) removes the cover from the slab. It all takes place under the open sky, on the embankment, usually during the day.
The description is based on our footage of the ceremony on October 27, 2024.
Ceremonies by date
Only the dates that have a source. Some of the slabs were unveiled without a public ceremony — they are not in this list.
